About Araca Merchandise

The mission of The Araca Group’s merchandise division is

to develop, design, and produce singular, fashionable, and quality products that support the client’s marketing strategy throughout the world.

The Araca Group is committed to creating fashion statements and unique collectibles where quality and creativity are of the utmost importance.

The Araca Group launched its merchandise division in 2002 in order to provide comprehensive merchandising services to live entertainment on Broadway and beyond. Araca believes that merchandise is a valuable extension of the advertising and marketing strategy, as well as a significant source of revenue, for each production. To support this vision we integrate each T-shirt, collectible, and retail location into the brand of the show. Furthermore, Araca captures the magic of a live theatrical experience by designing and creating products that embody the uniqueness of each production.

In 2003, Araca began work as the worldwide merchandiser for Wicked - the untold story of the witches of Oz. From the beginning, Araca established a merchandise model that was creatively dynamic and inventive as well as operationally efficient and flexible. In collaboration with Wicked’s producing, advertising, and marketing team Araca created unique, fashionable apparel (that consumers actually wear), designer jewelry, and high-end specialty products such as leather shoulder bags and musical glitter globes. With Wicked, The Araca Group pushed the envelope creating not just collectibles but fashionable high-end items that can be sold both inside and outside of the theatrical venues.

2007 marked the true international launch of Wicked, as productions opened in Tokyo, Japan, in conjunction with Shiki Entertainment, and in Stuttgart, Germany, in partnership with Stage Entertainment.

As Wicked has expanded throughout the world, The Araca Group has begun to develop enhanced opportunities throughout the live entertainment industry. Our recent merchandise roster includes Wicked (worldwide), Hans Klok: The Beauty of Magic, Rock & Roll, The Farnsworth Invention, The Pirate Queen, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Wedding Singer, Debbie Does Dallas, Ring of Fire: The Johnny Cash Story, and Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me. Several additional ventures are planned for 2008 and beyond.
